Abstract

This article objectifies the concept of “doctor” in the Russian language on the material of phraseological units, examines the mutual influence of culture and language, thinking and language within the framework of the linguoculturological paradigm. The concept is considered as a multidimensional phenomenon that allows to “include” in consciousness a certain image, concept, positive or negative significance of the object for the perceiver. Linguoculturological research is relevant and corresponds to the general trend of modern linguistics – the transition to man as the center of knowledge of the world, the subject of knowledge. Phraseological units are understood by the “holders” of the cultural code of the nation, people, ethnos. Cultural and national standards, stereotypes and mythologems of a particular nation form the meaning of phraseological units in which the memory of generations is fixed, the values of the people are embodied. The concept of “doctor” is of particular interest to medical students, allowing them to dive deeper into the study of the connection of language with the practical activities of future doctors.
