The famine of 1947 in the USSR is a direct consequence of the objective prerequisites that have developed in the country as a result of a combination of two factors: the consequences of the Great Patriotic War and the strongest famine in the entire 20th century. drought. One of the consequences of mass hunger strikes is the spread of contagious diseases among the population. This article is devoted to the extent to which this process was typical for the Kursk region.
An overview of the activities of the scientific phthisiology and balneology school on the southern coast of Crimea, starting from the creation in 1922 of the Yalta Clinical Tuberculosis Institute is presented. Since 2020, the activities of the successor of “Academic Research Institute of Physical Methods of Treatment, Medical Climatology and Rehabilitation named after. I.M. Sechenov” is focused on the problem of rehabilitative treatment of patients who have felt COVID-19. The history of the Institute is an example of the persistence and constant desire of the team to preserve and increase the traditions of the national medical school.
The article presents data on the state of the county health care and the organization three days against tuberculosis, as one of the types of tuberculosis control in the Belgorod district of the Kursk province. It is noted that in the Belgorod district until 1926 there were no specialized medical institutions for tuberculosis patients. The work on anti-tuberculosis activities was carried out haphazardly.
