Abstract
Relevance. The issue of adaptation of persons with disabilities with musculoskeletal disorders is an important aspect of modern social policy and rehabilitation practice. According to statistics, the number of people with musculoskeletal disorders is steadily growing. Studying the adaptive capabilities of persons with disabilities with musculoskeletal disorders is an important step towards creating more effective mechanisms for supporting and rehabilitating this vulnerable category of the population. Purpose is to study the characteristics of the adaptive capabilities of individuals with disabilities and musculoskeletal disorders.
Objectives. Conduct an empirical analysis of the adaptive capabilities of individuals with disabilities and musculoskeletal disorders. Study the characteristics of adaptation strategies in schoolchildren with disabilities and musculoskeletal disorders.
Methodology. Questionnaire, author's questionnaire developed. Questionnaire "Adaptability" by A.G. Maklakov and S.V. Chermyanin.
Results. Most of the surveyed disabled children do not receive individual remedial classes at school. 83.3% of respondents emphasize the importance of social integration and support between children with different needs. Respondents believe that their school has a sufficient number of special conditions for the study and adaptation of children with disabilities. 75% of the total number of survey participants participate in physical exercise, with swimming being the most popular type of activity among respondents. All participants believe that it is important to train teachers and school staff in methods of working with children with various types of disabilities. The Internet and social networks turned out to be the main source of information for disabled children. Support from family and friends turns out to be extremely important for children with disabilities.
Conclusion. Students with musculoskeletal disorders demonstrate a high level of adaptation. This is expressed in easy adaptation to new conditions of activity, quick entry into a new team, confidently navigate the situation, quickly develop a strategy for their behavior and socialization.
