Author Guidelines

The text of the manuscript sent to the editor should be carefully edited, all data, names, citations, and bibliography should be verified. A mandatory condition is compliance with the rules for formatting the text of the article.

The author sends the following files to the editorial office of the journal via his personal account or via email:

  1. Electronic version of the article in Russian (for example, Ivanov_gis).
  2. The electronic version of the article in English (for example, Ivanova).
  3. A copy of the recommendations of the supervisor in a graphical format (for undergraduate and graduate students).
  4. information about the author (full name, academic degree, academic title – if any, place of work or study, for graduate students-name of the supervisor, contact phone number, email address).

The original documents are requested by the editorial Board if necessary.

Postgraduates and students must submit a recommendation signed by the supervisor and certified at the place of work. The review (recommendation) of the scientific supervisor is made in any form, the final phrase in the review text is mandatory: "This article is recommended for publication in a scientific journal." The Recommender is responsible for the content and quality of the article, as well as the reliability of the submitted materials.

The reviewer / Recommender specifies the following information about himself / herself: surname, first name, patronymic; academic degree, scientific title; position; place of work – the full name of the institution without abbreviations; zip code and postal address; phone, e-mail. The signature of the referrer is sealed in accordance with the procedure established by law.

When sending an email, you must specify the subject of the email: "Article-Surname of the first author (in the nominative case)".

Otherwise, the review of the email message by the editorial Board is not guaranteed. Please do not change the subject of your email when you are communicating.

The editorial Board must confirm receipt of manuscripts. If the notification is not received within seven days, please duplicate the submission of materials.

When updating the text with comments, the file names are marked with numbers: Ivanov_rus2, etc.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

  2. The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.

  3. Internet links are provided as a complete URL. 

  4. Text should be typed with an interval of one and a half line spacing, font Times New Roman, 14 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text  (and not at the end of the document).

  5. Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in  Regulations  located in the Part "About Us." 

  6. Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the  anonymity of reviewing.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
  3. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work (See The Effect of Open Access).

 

Privacy Statement

Specified when registering the names and addresses will be used solely for technical purposes of a contact with the Author or reviewers (editors) when preparing the article for publication. Private data will not be shared with other individuals and organizations.
