PECULIARITIES OF CONCEPTUAL THINKING IN PEOPLE WITH CONGENITAL DEAFNESS AND THEIR CONNECTION WITH THE CHARACTERISTICS OF SIGN ACTIVITY

https://doi.org/10.21626/j-chr/2023-4(37)/2

Abstract

The article is devoted to issues of thinking in people with congenital deafness. Attention is paid to the connection between the sign and the concept, as well as to the analysis of the form and content of the concept from the point of view of cultural-historical psychology. From the presented theoretical positions, an attempt is made to come closer to understanding the mechanisms of interaction between concept and sign and, based on this, to understanding the possible causes of disturbances in conceptual thinking in people with congenital deafness.
